Different forms of hip flexor

According to anatomy, tight hip flexor means the orientation and presentation of the hip with respect to the different bones in the legs like the femur as it rests in and upon the space. Most often, a person can tilt his pelvis into four different directions like tight hip flexor, Posterior tight hip flexor, Left lateral tight hip flexor, and right lateral tight hip flexor.

Forms of tight hip flexor

Tight hip flexors happen when the anterior of the hip bone drops. It also occurs when the posterior part of the hip bone rises otherwise. This basically happens when the flexor muscles of the hip shorten. On the other hand, it is also a result when the extensor muscles of the hip lengthen.

In contrary to a tight hip flexor, the posterior tight hip flexor happens in the opposite manner. It is caused by the rise of the anterior hip as well as the drop of the posterior pelvis. Moreover, it becomes possible when the flexors of the hip lengthen and when the extensors of the bone shorten. It mainly involves the gluteus maximus, which is known as the primary hyper extensor muscles of the hip.

The lateral tight hip flexor is divided into two, either left lateral tight hip flexor or right lateral tight hip flexor. This form describes tilting the hip in both directions. Moreover, it is commonly associated and correlated with scoliosis or with people who have their legs at a different length.

Furthermore, it can as well occur when one of the legs is flexed while the other one remains extended.

In order to correct or just to stay in balance when you have anterior tight hip flexor, you can do some tight hip flexor exercise. There are different kinds of tight hip flexor exercise that can help you keep your posture.

Most of it tries to lengthen the rectus abdominis as well as to hyper-extend the spine. Also, it aims to shorten the erector spine. With all these, the disproportion can be compromised. The tight hip flexor posture problem will be able to ruin your life if it is not managed properly. So, try to at least manage it with some tight hip flexor exercise.

Limiting the activities which might hurt your hip, can actually improve the hip condition. It is important not to put any stress on your hip. Time to time application of ice to the affected area can release pain eventually.
